How a record gets graded

Every number on this site comes from a pick that was posted in public before the game started. A handicapper does not send us a record. We grade the posts ourselves.

01Captured from public posts

Picks are read from public posts on X, Covers, Reddit, TheRX, Sportsbook Review and Predictem, with the time each one was posted. A pick posted after the game starts is not counted.

02Graded on the final score

Straight bets are graded against the final score. One unit is risked on each pick at the posted price. When a post has no price, a reference price is used. Pushes are pushes. Held, duplicate and unreviewed posts are left out.

03Sample size is part of the record

Under 20 picks is a small sample. From 20 to 99 is developing. 100 or more is established. The free homepage and the rankings open on established records, because a short hot streak is not a career.

What the free board shows

Rank, record, units, ROI, win rate and sample size are public. The name, the handle and the posting site are not. A record next to a posting site is often enough to go find that person and follow them for free, so that pairing stays inside Watchdog Pro.

A handicapper cannot pay for a higher rank, a feature, or a verified label. Rank is the graded record. Watchdog Pro is access to the name and the log, not a badge that the record is legitimate.

People looking for a verified handicapper record are looking for a timestamp and a sample, not a badge. On this site a pick counts only when it was posted in public before the start, and the free board opens at 100 graded picks. A directory can still print the word verified and show the pick after the start. The CapperTek review is that case. CapperTek says the public reveal is 30 minutes after the event starts.

Pending picks are not mixed into a record. 742 picks are up for games that have not started. Names are locked.

2,773 handicappers have a graded record. 51,414 picks have been graded. Of the established records, 56 of 100 are up money.
