The 100 point Watchdog rating
A review stays unrated until four things are in the file: a record Watchdog graded from posts, the record the service advertises, a price from a page we opened, and a real sample of customer experience. A hot streak on a sales page is not that file. None of these ten clear that bar, so none of them get a number.
| Part | Points | What has to be in the file first |
|---|---|---|
| Verified record | 25 | Picks Watchdog captured before the game and graded on the final score, matched to this service. |
| Advertised record | 15 | The record the service publishes, quoted from a page we opened, set next to the graded one. |
| Sample and longevity | 15 | Enough settled picks, over enough time, to tell a career from a streak. |
| Pricing clarity | 15 | A current price on a page we opened, including what the package actually contains. |
| Transparency | 15 | Posts a reader can find, with the time, the price and the result, including the losses. |
| Customer experience | 15 | A real sample of buyers, not a star widget on the sales page. |
The 100 point score is editorial. It is not for sale. A sportsbook relationship, if one is added later, does not move a handicapper's score.
Sportsbook pages are not given this score. A book is not a handicapper. The sportsbook file has its own method, and a commercial relationship cannot buy a rating. How a sportsbook score would be built. Records on the free board are graded separately. How a record is graded. Established rankings.
