ESPN BET
ESPN BET stopped being PENN's U.S. sportsbook brand on 1 Dec 2025. The successor name is theScore Bet. This page does not publish a current state map for that book.

What changed
This is a status note, not a review of a book you can open under the ESPN BET name. Watchdog did not test an app. The record comes from ESPN and from PENN's transition article.
On 6 Nov 2025, PENN and ESPN said they had agreed to end their exclusive U.S. online sports betting agreement effective 1 Dec 2025. The joint release is on PENN's investor site. The 2023 deal had ESPN providing media and the ESPN BET trademark in exchange for cash payments of $150 million a year and warrants. The release said those payments would stop in the fourth quarter of 2025. PENN said it planned to rebrand the U.S. sportsbook to theScore Bet, targeting 1 Dec 2025, subject to regulatory approval, alongside the Missouri launch. The release said ESPN would help customers move from ESPN BET to theScore Bet, and that PENN would remain an ESPN advertising client.
What ESPN says now
ESPN's own support article says ESPN BET rebranded to theScore Bet on 1 Dec 2025, that PENN operates that book, and that ESPN BET as a betting product is no longer the PENN deal. The same article says DraftKings is the official sportsbook and odds provider of ESPN, with a fuller product rollout described as still coming through 2026. DraftKings' role is an ESPN media deal. It does not mean every ESPN reader has a DraftKings account, and it does not mean DraftKings inherited PENN's licenses.
What this page will not say
theScore Bet's help article for the rebrand said the change was scheduled for 1 Dec 2025, that existing accounts and logins were expected to carry over, and that no new app download was required because the ESPN BET app would become theScore Bet. It also named a target list of U.S. jurisdictions, subject to regulatory approval, and noted that theScore Bet was already live in Ontario.
That article is a transition notice. It is not a 27 Oct 2026 availability page. The target list is not repeated here, because printing it would look like a current map. Watchdog did not open a theScore Bet state page that confirms where bets are accepted today. Until that page is read, there is no theScore Bet review and no score.
Do not send an ESPN BET signup. There is no ESPN BET offer on this site, and there is no referral link.
Verdict
If you are looking for an ESPN BET review in 2026, the researched answer is that the U.S. betting brand ended with the PENN contract on 1 Dec 2025. The company said the same accounts were meant to continue under theScore Bet. DraftKings is ESPN's odds partner, which is a different fact. Neither fact is a rating.
