FanDuel

FanDuel publishes a state table that separates the sportsbook from its prediction-market product. The cashier and the limit tools are documented. The price of a bet is not.

No operator paid for this page. There is no referral link. The reading is from the sources at the bottom, checked 27 Oct 2026. It is not a hands-on test, and a bet is not a plan to make money.

What the record supports

FanDuel's own map separates sportsbook states from Predicts states, and it says the two products are regulated differently.

The help center documents deposit, loss, wager, and time limits, and says a timeout on one product applies to other eligible FanDuel products.

Withdrawal timing is posted by method, and U.S. credit card deposits are stated as not accepted on the sportsbook.

What it does not

Predicts is easy to confuse with sports betting. The same app opens a different product by location.

Posted withdrawal windows are maximums from the help center, not times Watchdog clocked.

Odds, in-play quality, and support wait were not measured. No current promotion is quoted.

Overview

This page is a reading of FanDuel's legal map and help center on 27 Oct 2026. Watchdog did not open an account or place a bet. The assessment is documented research.

FanDuel's map says the company is available nationwide only in the sense that the app opens something in most places. In sportsbook states the product is a state-regulated sports bet. In most other places the map says eligible customers get FanDuel Predicts, which the same page describes as event-contract trading under the CFTC, not a sportsbook wager. The app is supposed to label which product is open. Two wallets are used, one for the sportsbook and one for Predicts.

Betting markets

On the sportsbook side, the map does not list leagues. The help articles assume a sportsbook with wagers, bonus bets, and a bet slip. That is not a counted menu. Same-game parlays, player props, and futures were not inventoried. Market selection stays Not scored.

On the Predicts side, the map says sports event contracts are not offered in every place the app opens, and that non-sports contracts also depend on the location. A reader who wants a point spread should not assume Predicts is that product.

Live betting

The pages opened for this check do not describe the in-play board, a cash-out control, or how live markets are suspended. Live betting stays Not scored. Absence from the legal map is not proof the feature is missing. It is proof this file does not contain it.

Odds and pricing

No FanDuel price was saved against another book. Odds and pricing stay Not scored.

Mobile application

FanDuel says there is one national app, on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and that an older sportsbook app becomes that app after an update. The app chooses the sportsbook or Predicts from the phone's location. Travel between a sportsbook state and a Predicts state changes what opens. That is a documented product fact. It is not a usability score. Mobile experience stays Not scored.

Deposits and withdrawals

FanDuel's withdrawal help page, as opened on 27 Oct 2026, says most withdrawals go back to a method already used for a deposit, and that unused deposits can be returned to the original method. Posted U.S. windows on that page were: debit card up to 24 hours, PayPal or Venmo up to 24 hours, online banking 3 to 5 business days, FanDuel Prepaid Play+ up to 24 hours, cash at the counter typically within 1 hour with large withdrawals up to 48 hours, and check 7 to 10 business days. Those are the operator's ceilings, not a test.

The same help center says credit card deposits are not accepted in the United States for FanDuel Sportsbook, Casino, Racing, Predicts, or PokerStars on FanDuel. It also says some banks decline gaming charges, names Capital One among banks that may do so, and says gift cards and prepaid cards are blocked in a list of states that includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. Colorado sportsbook and racing deposits are limited to six in a rolling 24 hours. Play+ is not accepted in Connecticut or Iowa, among other places named on that page.

A method list for what is accepted, as opposed to what is refused, was not copied as a single national menu. Visa, debit, PayPal, Venmo, online banking, and Play+ appear because the withdrawal and decline articles discuss them. They are not a promise that every method is open in every sportsbook state.

Customer support

The responsible gaming article tells a logged-in reader to open the chat bubble to reach an agent, and the help center has a contact path. Hours and wait time were not tested. Customer service stays Not scored.

Security and licensing

FanDuel says sportsbook wagers are placed with a state-regulated sportsbook, and that Predicts is federally regulated as event contracts. The map is the company's statement of where each product is offered. Watchdog did not pull each state license from the regulator. Security and consumer protections stay Not scored. The useful consumer fact is the split itself: a person in a Predicts state is not holding a sportsbook bet, even if the icon is the same.

Geographic availability

On the FanDuel legal map opened 27 Oct 2026, the sportsbook column covered Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Wyoming, and Puerto Rico.

The same table marked Alabama, Alaska, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin as FanDuel Predicts rather than FanDuel Sportsbook. That is the operator's table, not a finding that sports betting is illegal in every one of those states. Other books may be licensed where FanDuel is not. Maine, New Hampshire, and Oregon are the obvious examples inside this section.

Responsible gambling

FanDuel's help center says deposit, loss, and wager limits can be daily, weekly, or monthly, and that a maximum wager size can be set per bet slip. A daily time limit can cover sportsbook, casino, racing, and poker, and a limit set on one eligible product applies to the others. Raising or removing a daily limit waits 3 days, a weekly limit 7 days, and a monthly limit 31 days. Massachusetts, Indiana, and Louisiana are called out for a 90 day wait.

A timeout is described as a short break, up to 365 days in most jurisdictions, shorter in Kansas where the stated maximum is 89 days, and different again in Louisiana, Alberta, and Ontario. Pending sports wagers stay up during a timeout. Logging in is blocked. Withdrawals during a timeout go through support.

Once lifetime deposits pass $2,500, FanDuel requires a responsible play statement before the account can continue, then again each year, or every six months in Connecticut. Self exclusion exists and the duration depends on the location. The national line Watchdog prints on every page is 1-800-GAMBLER. FanDuel also points readers at state hotlines inside the product.

Promotions

No FanDuel promotion is quoted. Offer pages move, and this check did not open a single current bonus with its full terms. Bonus bets are mentioned in the help center only as a limit and cashier rule: they can count toward a spending or loss limit, and playthrough can apply before winnings are withdrawable. That is not an offer.

Who it may suit

A reader who wants a book that prints its sportsbook map separately from a prediction market, and who wants posted cashier windows and cross-product limits, can start here. A reader who wants a measured price, a counted prop menu, or a tested live bet cannot. Being in a Predicts state is not the same as being in a sportsbook state. Nothing on this page is a prediction that a bet will win.

Verdict

FanDuel gave this check the clearest operator map in the set, plus a real cashier page and a real limit page. The categories that require a stopwatch or a line sample are still empty. The editorial score is Not scored.
